Update – Getting More From Grazing event
On February 17th, Forth Rivers Trust co-facilitated with Pasture for Life a Getting More From Grazing farm event hosted at Balbirnie Home Farms in Fife. The event brought together local farmers and land managers through the Leven Catchment Farmer Network and those not in the network but interested in learning more about adaptive grazing management systems.

The event explored how observation, adaptability and intentional livestock management can be applied to grazing livestock systems through talks by Jamie Jack from Pasture for Life and Johnnie Balfour from Balbirnie Home Farms in the morning. In the afternoon there was a farm walk led by Johnnie, Laura Burnett & Grace Winkler who manage the cattle on the farm to see how the adaptive livestock management system is working for the farm.

The event was funded through the Leven Catchment Collective and Scottish Agroecological Partnership.
